Say Hello To … Kate Jones of Kate Waldo + Co.

I’m so excited to be kicking off a new series here on the Contracts for Creatives blog today! Each month I’ll be sharing a female entrepreneur that’s pursuing her passion and may be able to help YOU grow in your business! The series is aptly called, Say Hello To …

Let’s jump into the first post! I’m excited to introduce you to Kate from Kate Waldo + Co.! Kate and I connected through The Blog Societies as we’ll both be hosting workshops at this year’s annual conference, TBSCon! When I heard about Kate’s background and business, I knew my audience and clients could also benefit from her services! We’re going LIVE together on Instagram to share a bit more about each of our businesses on Tuesday, April 16th at 8 PM EST. Be sure to mark your calendar and join us if you’re available!

Now let’s get to know Kate a bit more!

Say Hello To …

Say Hello To ... Kate Waldo + Co. | Contracts for Creatives | Ashlee Hightower

Name & Business Name

Kate Jones, Kate Waldo + Co

Where can we find you online?

www.katewaldoandco.com and “Kate Waldo + Co.”

On social, @katewaldoandco (facebook, instagram, pinterest, youtube)

Tell us a bit about your background.

I first started my business as a professional organizer helping clients in their homes and businesses – organizing their physical belongings.

What prompted you to start Kate Waldo + Co.?

More and more, I was getting questions about how to organize your digital life. When I first started my business, I was in desperate need of organization for all of the icky admin “behind the scenes” stuff. I became so fascinated with business organization and automation that it was a natural shift to take Kate Waldo + Co. online to help entrepreneurs do the same for themselves.

Who is your target client?

Bloggers and influencers who are sick of spending countless hours on administrative work and wish they could just focus on the fun parts of their business – the reason they started in the first place.

What does your typical morning look like?

Wake up around 7AM. Coffee first and walk my golden retriever, Sugar. I try to journal or do a brain dump while I eat breakfast, but sometimes I get too excited and hop into work.

Organizational tools you can’t live without?

My task management tool (master to-do list) and my CRM (customer relationship manager).

One organizational tool you most frequently recommend to your clients?

Asana – the best to-do list wrangler that’s also perfect for bringing on a team and outsourcing tasks.

What’s one piece of advice you’d give to other solo/small business owners?

Forgive yourself. We are our own biggest critics; we give others grace and forget to give it back to ourselves.

Thanks so much to Kate for kicking off the new series!

If you’re an influencer or blogger, be sure to check out her website, especially the FREEBIES tab (tons of helpful information!).
